Over 75 awards were handed out to students from 12 schools in Abbotsford, Maple Ridge, and Langley at the annual Fraser Valley Regional Science Fair, held last week (April 7-10) at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford.
The Grand Prize winners, of an all expenses trip to the Canada-wide Science Fair – to be held in May in Fredericton, New Brunswick (http://cwsf.youthscience.ca) – are Baneet Braich (Abbotsford Senior Secondary), Ben Chisholm (Thomas Haney Center) and Daniel Kanis (Credo Christian School, Chilliwack).
Kanis also received a UFV entrance scholarship award. A special Science World prize, where the winner’s entire class receives a field trip to Telus World of Science, was won by Zoe Lainchbury of Abbotsford.
