76-Yr-Old Woman Struck At Townline/Blueridge

At 11:00am Sunday, the Abbotsford Police Department were called to the intersection of Townline Road and Blueridge Drive for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

At this location a 76-year-old female while in a marked crosswalk was struck by a vehicle attempting to make a left turn eastbound onto Blueridge Drive. The 21 year old male driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

Abbotsford Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance personnel provided medical treatment for the female and an air ambulance was called to the scene for transport of very serious injuries. The female remains in serious condition in hospital as a result of this collision.

Abbotsford Police Department Patrol Division Officers and Collision Reconstructionists are continuing the investigation.
