News 1130 is reporting that a brand of herbal tea is being recalled and consumers are being advised not to drink it because of the possibility of salmonella poisoning.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a warning about Tega brand Organic Lemon Hibiscus Green Rooibos Herbal Tea.
This product has been distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
Nu-Tea Company Ltd. of Abbotsford is recalling the affected product from the marketplace.[source]
