Submitted. Media are being invited to attend the 2013 Aerospace, Defence & Security Expo in Abbotsford at the Fraser Valley Trade and Exhibition Centre (TRADEX) on Wednesday, August 7th and Thursday, August 8th.
The event program will include plenary sessions led by key industry figures, networking sessions, meals with speakers, one-on-one meetings, and a trade show. For the first time, the event is being held at TRADEX, which opens up many opportunities for exhibitors. Its capacity provides the opportunity for a company to bring in their equipment to display, whether it is cockpits, aircraft, UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles], tanks, surveillance systems, or other large hardware.
Government keynote speakers include Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade, Honourable Robert Nicholson, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, MLA Darryl Plecas Abbotsford-South and Mayor Bruce Banman of Abbotsford. Industry Keynote speakers include Timothy Page, President, CADSI, Stephen O’Bryan, Vice President of F-35 Program Integration and Business Development, Lockheed Martin, Benjamin Boehm, Vice-President, Commercial Aircraft Programs, and many more. In addition to the exhibits, there will be plenary sessions on a range of aerospace, defence and security subjects (see attached PDF program for full agenda and list of participants).
