UPDATED: APD Arrest Home Invasion Suspects

Late yesterday afternoon the Abbotsford Police Department arrested two more suspects in relation to Saturday’s home invasion. 19 year old Samantha Patenaude and 23 year old Jakob Mosterd were both taken into custody without incident. They, and 31 year old Dylan Majorel and 28 year old Armand Belisle, are charged with Robbery, Break and Enter and the Use of a Firearm in the Commission of an Offence. All identified suspects have now been arrested. The Abbotsford Police Department would like to thank everyone who assisted with this investigation.

Initial RCMP Release: On Saturday, July 20 at 11:00 pm, a 25 year old man opened the door to his apartment in the 3100 block of Gladwin Road. Three suspects, brandishing firearms, pushed their way in and demanded that the victim turn over cash and guns from a safe inside the suite. The man complied and then jumped from the second story balcony in order to escape. The man suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the fall and the assault by the suspects. Abbotsford Police Patrol Division officers began investigating the incident with suspect and vehicle descriptions provided by several witnesses.

Major Crime Unit detectives and Forensic Identification officers joined the investigation that extended into Chilliwack. Two suspects were arrested in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 21. A 28 year old man from Coquitlam and a 31 year old man from Chilliwack were taken into custody by the APD and Chilliwack RCMP respectively. Investigators will be recommending charges of Robbery and Break and Enter against both men.
