Arts Council Calls On Artists For Christmas Artisan Gift Fair

By May 11, 2013Arts

Yes it’s that time of year again! The Abbotsford Arts Council announces a call for visual artists for the 2013 Christmas Artisan Gift Fair and Small Painting Show, to take place October 29-December 21, 2013, at the Kariton Art Gallery. The Fair is an eight week initiative to provide the City of Abbotsford a unique place to buy one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers, while, at the same time, impart support and recognition for local artisans. The Fair will also consist of a “Small Painting Show,” featuring small paintings, prints and photo art by members of the Fraser Valley Watercolour Society, Central Fraser Valley Graphic Guild, and other local artists.

Submissions for original, handmade visual artwork will be accepted until May 28, 2013. Artists living in B.C.’s Fraser Valley are invited to apply. Applications are available for download at abbotsfordartscouncil.org, or the Kariton Art Gallery, located at 2387 Ware Street in Abbotsford. The gallery’s hours are Tuesday to Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
