From Katarina Vlasic. The grade fours of Abbotsford School of Integrated Arts (ASIA) would like to invite you to their “Cereal” Art Show. We have painstakingly duplicated various Cereal boxes and placed the images and advertisement on to canvas using acrylic paint. The students used various tools and techniques in their study.
By duplicating their images three times, the students had an opportunity to focus on line and shape. The students attempted to duplicate the colour scheme depicted on the box while others experimented with an alternative colour scheme.
We wrote to three cereal companies to inform them of our creative endeavors in the hopes that they would offer a donation to our art program. Kellogg’s wrote back stating that they offer breakfast programs. General Mills also wrote back stating how appreciative they were of the students’ letters.
We hope that you enjoy the art created by the grade fours. In order to replenish our art supplies, the visual art students would appreciate a donation to our art program after you have had an opportunity to view the art. See donation container located at the front office.

The show will be up for four weeks and then returned to the students
