BC Coroners Service Identifies Victim Of Fall In Stanley Park

Submitted. The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a fall in Stanley Park in Vancouver on July 26, 2014.

He is Mai David Huy Huynh, aged 22, of Abbotsford.

Mr. Huynh was spending time with friends at Prospect Point, the highest point in Stanley Park, on the late afternoon of July 26, 2014, when they noticed he was missing. Shortly after 6 p.m. he was found on the seawall about 70 metres below. He was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and Vancouver Police continue to investigate this death.

Mr. Huynh’s’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
