Berrybeat Festival Rock Climb For A Great Cause

Submitted. Each year as part of Berrybeat Festival in Downtown Abbotsford, the ADBA funds the Project Climbing Centre Porta-Wall’s attendance with 100% of its revenue going to a local worthy cause.

“We are thrilled to announce that this year’s recipient will be the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre (FVCDC). Thank you so much to Surjit Atwal and Darryl Plecas for facilitating this venture. The Rock Climbing wall will be yours to conquer at Berrybeat Festival for a minimum donation of $3 to the FVCDC. Come down on July 5-6th to show your support the FVCDC and see if you can make it to the top of the wall!” – Tina Stewart, Executive Director, ADBA

“Developmental needs and disabilities come in many forms….they are visible, invisible and they cross all ethnicities. They can be overwhelming for children and families who live with them. FVCDC walks besides these families on their journey so they know they are not alone” – Karen McLean, Executive Director, FVCDC

FVCDC and Surjit AwalUnderstanding that no two children or families are the same, FVCDC has grown as a leader in child development service delivery, early intervention and specialized services. With a team of 105 professionals, the FVCDC provides programs and services to over 2,300 children and youth per year, that are family centered, community based and easy to access.

“FVCDC is very excited to partner with the ADBA’s Berry Beat Festival, a renowned family event. Together we will be “Helping Kids Shine” – Karen McLean, Executive Director, FVCDC

The ADBA is looking forward to another fantastic Berrybeat Festival full of community spirit. Held on July 5 – 6th in Historic Downtown Abbotsford, the 33rd Annual Berrybeat Festival will have more family friendly activities than ever before. We thank the Aldergrove Credit Union, our Platinum Sponsor for helping make this event a great way to celebrate our community and welcome the summer months.
