Blood Signal Means Give Now

Canadian Blood Services will activate its Blood Signal from June 3rd to 16th. The blood drop shaped icon, intended to convey the idea of giving blood at times of the year when the need is greatest, means ‘donate blood now.’

Residents of Abbotsford are asked to give blood at their local community donor clinic during this time:

· June 5, 2 to 7 p.m. – Christian Life Community Church Creekside Centre, 35131 Straiton Road
· June 11, 1 to 8 p.m.– Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly, 3145 Gladwin Road

Making an appointment now will help lay the foundation for strong blood collections that will meet patient needs this summer. Abbotsford donors who give blood during Blood Signal are eligible to give again in August.

Bring a friend or family member to donate with you and remember to book another appointment to give blood online at www.blood.ca or by calling 1 888 2 DONATE (1 888 236-6283).
