According to Business in Vancouver Cascade Aerospace Inc. has just been awarded a $225 military contract from the defence department.[excerpt] By Nelson Bennett
The contract is to provide maintenance on the avionics system (navigation and communications) for Canada’s CC-130H Hercules fleet.
The funding is under a five-year contract that can be renewed out to 2035. The company had expected the first five years of funding to be announced, but the government’s announcement of $225 million is for the full period extending to 2035, which means the contract is expected to be renewed.[source]
Cascade Aerospace was purchased by Nova Scotia’s IMP Group Aerospace & Defence in November.
