Community News: Annual Library Board Elections Re-Elect Grant Ward As FVRL Board Chair

TOL. Fraser Valley Regional Library (FVRL) held its annual board elections this week, re-electing Township of Langley Councillor Grant Ward to a second consecutive term as FVRL Board Chair. Ward has been a significant part of the board for over ten years, receiving the 2011 Super Trustee Award from the BC Library Trustees Association for his contributions.

His past experience on various other community boards and committees is a tremendous asset and he is an articulate supporter of the life-changing value of libraries to the fabric of our society.

Other FVRL 2013 board election appointments include:

Vice Chair: Councillor Michael Wright, City of Port Coquitlam

Treasurer: Councillor Helen Fathers, City of White Rock

BC Library Trustees Association Representative: Councillor Jeannie Kanakos,Corporation of Delta

InterLINK Representative: Councillor Ron Smith, District of Hope

InterLINK Alternate: Councillor Corisa Bell, District of Maple Ridge
