Downloading special app makes for dazzling display

When Brad Paisley takes the stage Friday night at Rockin’ River Music Festival, the crowd will have a unique opportunity to be part of his show.

Paisley’s Wheelhouse Tour uses a computer application enhanced by Wham City Lights to do its lighting.

This enhancement allows synced smartphones to become part of the light show from out in the crowd for a specific song or songs.

It can turn audience members’ smartphones into hand-held lighting effects — and engages guests at any concert or event.

The Wham City Lights apps sync every iPhone, iPad, and Android device in the venue, flashing and changing color to the music.

Light shows can be created for any song — live or pre-recorded — using the color palette of your choice.

All that Paisley show attendees have to do is download Paisley’s customized Wham City Lights app to their iPhones or Androids to use their phones as part of the light show.

Wham City Lights say they worked with production and marketing teams at Sony Music Nashville to develop a light show for Brad Paisley’s performance at the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards.

They say Paisley’s “Beat This Summer” tour, which stops at Rockin’ River Music Festival Saturday, uses Wham City Lights for several songs throughout his set.
