Deadline Extended for visual artists to apply for the 2014 Christmas Artisan Market at Highstreet
Submitted. The Abbotsford Arts Council has extended the deadline to September 28 to apply to the 2014 Christmas Artisan Market on Highstreet, to take place November 21, 22 and 23 at Highstreet Shopping Centre (3122 Mt. Lehman Road, Abbotsford, B.C.). The Christmas Artisan Market provides guests the opportunity to find local, one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers.
Expanding from the 2013 Christmas Artisan Gift Fair at the Kariton Gallery last year, this year’s market at Highstreet will provide a new indoor venue, new atmosphere and new opportunities to take in many local artists from various art forms. Taking place at the same time as Highstreet’s Christmas tree lighting, this weekend is surely to be a fun and festive kick off to the holiday season.
Artists living in B.C.’s Fraser Valley are invited to apply. Applications are available at abbotsfordartscouncil.org or the Kariton Art Gallery, located at 2387 Ware Street in Abbotsford. The gallery’s hours are Tuesday to Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
