The Abbotsford School District #34 will be adjudicating and presenting District Scholarships (a.k.a. District Authority Awards) on Wednesday, April 23,
The cermony will be held at Abbotsford Senior Secondary School and at the Abbotsford Arts Centre from 9am to 5pm (approx) with a break from 11:30am-12:30pm.
This is part of the Provincial Scholarships Program and is has expanded significantly again this year. Total scholarship amount available is $154,000.
There are 158 Grade 12 students participating from all district high schools.
Categories of project areas include: photography, music (vocal, instrumental, digital), dance, drama, art, creative writing, carpentry, electronics and technology, culinary, physical activity, equine studies, TV, Film, animation, drafting, hair design, community service, textiles, environmental technology, and trades.
Adjudicators are school district staff and members of the community.
The public is welcome.
