Diversity Networking 2 Launches

Diversity Networking Series 2 is launching! With new speakers and extra content, leaders and top employers are invited. Get fresh ideas. Excel at service. Access new markets. Revitalize your workforce.

Abbotsford Community Services, the City of Abbotsford, and supporting partners are presenting Diversity Networking Series 2 for businesses and organizations to network and share best practices in diversity in Abbotsford’s multi-ethnic and diverse community. Space is limited. Register for all or for each session at no cost. Recognition will be given to businesses with representation at all 6 sessions.

Session 1 – West to East City Tour

Join us for our kick-off event, a guided tour of the diverse demographics from the West side (Mount Lehman area) to the East side (Whatcom Rd area). Everyone will receive demographic information, explore unique pockets of cultural diversity, have a chance to network and enjoy lunch together.
Venue: Tour departs and returns to City Hall, 32315 South Fraser Way

Session 2 – Innovation, Prosperity, and Economic Equity

Share best practices with other local businesses. Explore how diversity can work for your business through hiring, marketing, employee training, and consumer retention.

Session 3 – Hiring for Diversity

Statistics Canada predicts that in 2031, 39% of Abbotsford’s population and 46% of Canada’s population will be visible minorities. Get your business ready! Attract and retain employees from the diverse population in Abbotsford.
