Downhill Closing Early At Manning Park

By March 27, 2015Sports, Sports News

Submitted. Manning Park Resort is announcing that due to low skier numbers and dwindling snow levels at our alpine area, the last day of the Alpine Operation will be this Sunday March 29th.

Our Nordic operations will remain open, as we continue to have great conditions for cross-country and snowshoeing on our higher elevation trails. Our accommodations, restaurant and other amenities will continue to remain open.

Please come join us for the “Top to Bottom” Nordic race this Saturday, March 28th! Also don’t forget to consider coming up for a break or an overnight visit to enjoy our Nordic skiing or snowshoeing.

We have been very fortunate to have had an excellent season with consistent snow conditions and been able to maintain a good winter season from our December start date until now. Our alpine snow is dwindling and it appears a lot of people have already begun to put away their ski gear.

We were fortunate enough to be out of the rainfall area which caused a less than ideal season for many surrounding local mountains. Manning Park made it to be the last mountain standing, thank you to Mother Nature!

We want to thank our amazing season pass holders, our customers and the many number of visiting season pass holders from other mountains that experienced Manning for the first time through our reciprocal program.

We would also like to thank our staff for all their support and dedication in making this a great season! Without their enthusiasm, Manning wouldn’t be as great a place as it is. An extra thank you goes out to our grooming staff that made it possible to have as many runs open that we did.

Despite having an interesting snow year, we are looking forward to an early spring and the possibility of getting out camping and canoeing sooner!

We feel this has been another successful winter season for Manning Park Resort!

Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you all for many seasons to come.
