Elsay Perform Saturday Aug 17

On Saturday, August 17 from 6-8 PM, the Envision Concert in the Park Series is proud to present Elsay at Mill Lake Park (Kariton Art Gallery Stage, 2387 Ware Street) in Abbotsford.

Elsay, a spirited new Vancouver-based folk group, was the brainchild of two Capilano University jazz students with a unique love of Scottish and Irish fiddle music.

They started jamming together in the summer of 2012 as a flute and guitar duo. The pair discovered an incredible compatibility, and in searching for a fuller sound recruited a fiddler, mandolin player, and a tin whistle player. Thus was born a fresh new sound in Canadian folk, replete with rhythmic and energetic guitar riffs, soaring whistle harmonies, and bright fiddling that will get your feet tapping!
