Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia Pacific Gateway, Abbotsford MP Ed Fast and Abbotsford West MLA Michael de Jong, as well as Abbotsford Mayor Bruce Banman, will make an announcement about expansion of the Highway 11 Nexus Lane and improvements to the Vye Road rail crossing Wednesday March 28 at 1:00 pm

Well, Abbotsford is definately Federal Conservative and
Provincial Liberal.
The election goodies are just flowing in, despite the fact
the city has left the Vye Rd. problem for alomst a decade.
Lack of council responsibility in the past to ensure a safe
overpass at Vye Rd. is being rewarded by the federal and provincial counterparts.
I am pleased to see that taxpayers funds at all levels are finally
being used to deal with this ‘risk asituation” at the Vye Road
railway tracks used by Abbotsford residents, frequently.
It is fortunate that there hasn’t been serious accidents at this
railway crossing, but, it is unfortunate Council did not see the
need to make this crossing a real priority project.
