Fire Crews Attend Townhouse Fire

At 10:58 am on March 31, Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service responded to a report of a townhouse fire at 32870 Bevan Way.

Upon arrival, crews discovered heavy smoke with flames breaking through the roof line
at the rear of the structure. All residents were safely out of the unit by the time fire crews
arrived and crews were able to put out the fire. Damage was extensive in the area the
fire started, but damage was lessoned because residents kept doors to bedrooms and
other rooms closed when not at home.

Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire. Total cost for damages
is unknown.

A total of seven units and 25 staff attended the fire.
