By Arts Editor Doreen Jung. Celebrating the cultural diversity in Abbotsford, Abbyfest took place at the Ag-Rec Building on Saturday, Sept. 21st. Many people attended this free multicultural festival which featured stage performances by different ethnic groups, foods from many countries, and exhibits reflecting the many services available in the community.

The festival began with a Parade of Nations. Colourful costumes and ethnic dancing then drew many visitors to the stage. Philippines Biback Dance and Drum Music Performance were the first to perform. This was followed by Mexican Folk Dancers and Chinese Cultural Sword Dancers.
