Get Involved In The OCP Review

By July 8, 2014Issues

On Canada Day Mayor Banman announced the 18-month process of reviewing the new Official Community Plan (OCP). Abbotsford’s planning process has been so confused, unmanaged and poorly managed that only a select few have ever been able to fight their way through it.

Too often the impression has been left that, unless you know the right people, the byzantine OCP was something you just weren’t going to get through. Banman assures that is about to change as a result of the new OCP which has been drafter and is awaiting public input.

This is your chance to ensure your investment in Abbotsford does shrink any further nor the possibility of real economic development remain an unfulfilled dream. The economic indicators for Abbotsford are abysmal. Participation from as many civic-minded citizens as possible will be crucial to making sense of the new OCP and ensuring it doesn’t simply favour the few at the expense of the many.
