While it was certainly an honour for Abbotsford to host the Grand Slam of Curling and it was certainly good to be known on the world stage for Curling instead of Chicken Manure, don’t you think they could have sold the tickets so that everyone who attended was sitting where the TV cameras would pick them up instead of allowing them to spread around the empty arena and leaving the impression there was nobody there?
Mayor Banman is used to getting more people to turn out to his singing gigs but you could hear the crickets chirping when he opened the big event last week.
People were even talking about it on Twitter:
(It certainly wasn’t because a website was criticizing politicians and business people that the arena was empty)
