Submitted. Yesterday at 2:30 pm three masked men in dark clothing broke into a rural residence in the 28000 block of Starr Road. A couple in their 70’s was in the home at the time. The husband and wife were bound while the suspects, armed with at least a metal bar, searched the home. The suspects ultimately stole several firearms and a large quantity of ammunition. Other valuables were not taken. The couple was able to free themselves and contacted police after the suspects had fled.
Both of the victims were transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries and were obviously shaken from the incident. The Major Crime Unit of the Abbotsford Police Department is leading the investigation.
