J.D. Miner is a Canadian acoustic duo consisting of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Darryl Klassen and mega-multi-instrumentalist Chad Joiner. From original songs to old time foot-stompers, all played on a stage full of instruments, J.D. Miner offers music that may make you laugh, cry, tap your toes or even get up and dance…and that’s just the first song.

Darryl Klassen plays the finger-style guitar and 5 string banjo. He can’t remember when he wrote his first song, but over the years he has honed his song writing skills to be able to create a collection of quality songs that replace tunes by Hoyt Axton and J.J. Cale in his songbook.

Chad Joiner plays the fiddle, mandolin, clarinet, trumpet and guitar. He’s studied, taught and played music in a variety of different places and locations as well as belonging to an extensive list of musical groups. During the day, Chad teaches music and directs marching bands that win awards all over North America. However, come night fall, Chad belongs to J.D. Miner and offers up his musical skills for audiences to enjoy.
