JC Celebration Band At House Of James Saturday

By October 31, 2013Arts/Culture

Submitted. On November 2 from 8 to 10 PM, the Envision Coffee House Concert Series is proud to present The JC Celebration Band at House of James (2743 Emerson Street) in Abbotsford.

The JC Celebration Band is a local Abbotsford group led by Dennis Shepit that pays tribute to Johnny Cash from 1959 to 2004. They are a three piece group consisting of a lead, rhythm and bass guitar with vocals. They play a lot of concerts at various venues and give away a number of prizes from sponsors and select businesses locally and abroad. Come prepared to answer trivia questions and enjoy some great nostalgia. It’s always a great night for some Johnny Cash.

Concert goers are also invited to take part in Envision Financial’s Full Cupboard program by bringing non-perishable food or cash donations to House of James.

“Envision Financial is pleased to be actively involved in supporting our local food bank through our partnership with the Abbotsford Arts Council and our new program, The Full Cupboard,” says Lyle McLelland, Branch Manager of Abbotsford Village. “Come down to House of James on November 2nd with your non-perishable food or cash donation and let’s reduce hunger in Abbotsford together.”

So far, over 4,100 pounds of food and $27,000 have been collected for The Full Cupboard via your donations – thank you!

“The great thing about The Full Cupboard is that all food and funds collected in your community will stay in your community,” says Susan Byrom, manager of community investment at Envision Financial. “That’s a great way to ensure every penny counts!”
