By October 2, 2014Arts/Culture

Submitted. Rising Canadian musician Jordan McIntosh is currently performing as a support act for George Canyon on his 26 date, coast-to-coast Decade of Hits Tour this fall. After a successful summer spent continuing to build his reputation on the Country Music scene, McIntosh is ready to showcase his new music across Canada. The music video for his latest single “That Girl” has over 62,000 views on Youtube, and is currently in rotation on Family Channel.

The Decades of Hits Tour kicked off on September 11, 2014 at Brantford’s Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts, and runs through to October 19, 2014 at the Tidemark Theatre in Campbell River. It is the first tour of its kind for 18-year-old artist, who seeks to create genuine, emotional connections with audiences nation-wide. A perfect compliment for Canyon’s mature Country voice, McIntosh offers fans an energetic mix of classic country with a youthful pop sound.

The Ontario-based performer started off the year with a bang, opening for country artists One More Girl and Brett Kissel on the Young Guns Tour. This August, McIntosh participated in the SiriusXM Emerging Artist Showcase where he performed on the main stage of the Boots and Hearts Music Festival.
Recently, he was a top six finalist in the 2014 CCMA Discovery Program and in May he was awarded a CMAO Award for Rising Star. McIntosh made a name for himself in 2012 with his debut single “Walk Away.” This was followed by the 2013 success of “Grew Up In a Country Song,” which earned him the Fresh Face Feature Artist title from CMT Canada. Later that year, he appeared in the CMT video “Home for Christmas” alongside George Canyon, Aaron Pritchett and One More Girl. Furthermore, his Country cover of Lil Wayne’s “How To Love” garnered over 250,000 views on YouTube, showcasing McIntosh’s undeniable talent.
