Major Crime Unit Takes Over Serious Injury Case

On Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 2:10 am the Abbotsford Police were called to a residence in the 2300 block of Holly Street for a reported fight. APD Patrol Division and Emergency Response Team members arrived on scene and located two injured young men in their 20’s near the residence. Both men were transported to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

APD Forensic Identification Unit members are assisting at the scenes and traffic diversions will be in effect in the area through the morning hours.

The Major Crime Unit of the Abbotsford Police Department is now leading this investigation. The injured men continue to receive treatment and their current medical conditions are listed as stable. As a result of the medical assessment, the APD can confirm that one man was stabbed and the other was shot.

The investigation continues.
