Two new names were approved for the district’s Aboriginal Education Centre (Mamele’awt). The Centre will now be known as the “” in recognition of its place as a community-wide facility.
The newly refurbished library in the Centre has been named the “Ray and Millie Silver Aboriginal Library.”
Perry Smith, District Principal of Aboriginal Education, noted this is in recognition of two individuals who have had a tremendous impact in the school district and city.
