Manning’s Got Snow

By December 27, 2014Sports, Sports News

Manning Park is reporting not only snow but 26 of their 34 runs open. The resort has a 98 cm base and a 78 cm bottom chair base. It’s good news for Fraser Valley skiiers who have been denied their favourite sport due to warm, rainy weather throughout the months of November and December.

The unseasonably warm conditions have kept most Valley and southern BC slopes closed well past their usual opening time at the end of November.

Diehard skiers have been able to find some skiable white stuff at Mount Baker but the Lower Mainland resorts have remained stubbornly closed.

As of Saturday, December 27, Hemlock Resort was reporting snow but no lifts yet open.
