Meet Amber, She’s Looking For Her Forever Home

By March 29, 2014Pets

Amber has come into rescue due to her owner’s health issues. She is a very sweet 9 year old Border Collie cross. She had one eye removed (we believe due to a cyst), but this does not seem to be a problem for her.

Here is what her foster home has to say…

Amber personifies her name with gorgeous black/amber markings on her shoulders and back. She has the calm, quiet temperament of a middle-aged gal who still loves brisk walks and fetching/retrieving balls yet doesn’t need high-energy exercise. Sits, stays and comes on command, great on leash & trustworthy without. Good with all people, dogs and critters (including a chinchilla). Only barks when dogs/people walk by yard/property. Loves car rides and new adventures. Having one eye doesn’t phase her in the least – she is alert, sure footed and undaunted. Not food driven, more of a grazer – sometimes has a sensitive tummy eased with half a Rolaids or acidophilus. Ideal home will have a quiet but active environment, perhaps with older children and family members she can cuddle with, cavort and fulfill her collie mission as a canine chaperone.
AMBER is an approximately 9 yr old Border Collie X, a gorgeous female.
She’s currently in foster care in Vancouver, BC

Amber is in the care of Turtle Gardens Animal Rescue.
