Submitted. Norrish Creek water supply is back online as of yesterday, after a slide took out the main water supply pipe from Norrish Creek in early October.
On October 2, a rock slide occurred on the Forest Service Road to Norrish Creek
completely blocking the road.
The slide also caused a breach in the water supply pipe that runs along the road and
City crews shut down the Norrish system at that time. Residents did not see any impact
to their water services as supply from Cannell Lake and the wells systems addressed
demand during this time.
All repairs to the pipeline and slope stabilization are complete. The service road to
Norrish Creek has reopened. Site cleanup will continue this week.
As water supply is switched from wells to Norrish Creek, residents may notice the water
tastes different, but all water is safe to drink.
