Now’s The Time Performs At Final Concert Of 2013 Coffee House Series

By November 27, 2013Arts/Culture

Submitted. On November 30 from 8 to 10 PM, the Envision Coffee House Concert Series is proud to present Now’s the Time at Wired Monk McCallum (#111-1975 McCallum Rd) in Abbotsford.

The warm pulse of a double bass, the lyricism of a pure guitar coupled to the soaring leaps and smooth sound of a tenor sax – that’s ‘Now’s The Time.’

Now’s The Time is a jazz trio dedicated to playing various song forms from the standard jazz repertoire, as well as originals from within the same idiom. Playing anything from swinging blues and bebop to favourite standards and gentle ballads, this trio is full of talent and charm. They are sure to provide the perfect atmosphere for your Saturday evening.

Concert goers are also invited to take part in Envision Financial’s Full Cupboard program by bringing non-perishable food or cash donations to Wire Monk McCallum.

“Envision Financial is pleased to be actively involved in supporting our local food bank through our partnership with the Abbotsford Arts Council and our new program, The Full Cupboard,” says Lyle McLelland, Branch Manager of Abbotsford Village. “Come down to the Wired Monk McCallum on November 30th with your non-perishable food or cash donation and let’s reduce hunger in Abbotsford together.”

So far, over 4,100 pounds of food and $27,000 have been collected for The Full Cupboard via your donations – thank you!

“The great thing about The Full Cupboard is that all food and funds collected in your community will stay in your community,” says Susan Byrom, manager of community investment at Envision Financial. “That’s a great way to ensure every penny counts!”
