Submitted. The Fraser Valley Watermedia Society is delighted to welcome water media artists to paint and enjoy the fellowship of other painters in all water-based media at our regular meetings.
Come and join us onThursday, March 30th from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at W J Mouat Secondary School, Art Room 307 for a painting demo done by local artist, Laurie Thomasson. The topic of Laurie’s demo will be “What can I do with my background?” Bring a prepared abstract background on either watercolour paper or canvas, as well as your watercolour or acrylic paints and paint along with Laurie using different objects to make a variety of marks on your paper or canvas. This technique can be used to create an interesting background before painting main subject.
