Paper Nation Closing Its Doors

By February 13, 2013Business News

Submitted by one of our readers: Dear Editor, I received this email today and wanted to share it with you and your readers. Paper Nation is one of those stores that gives a wonderful shopping experience, with great cards and cute gift ideas. Just the other day I planned to go there and it is with great sadness that I read this notice. They will be sorely missed!

A BITTERSWEET GOODBYE…

Hi folks, I’m writing this note to let you know that, with bittersweet feelings, we’ve made the decision to close our doors.

While the option to keep going weighed heavy on my mind, after much contemplation and discussion, we decided now was the time.

Though the challenges of owning a small business are monumental, when all is said and done, it’s been a wonderful experience and I’m taking away only positive memories. I mean how could I not? This store has given me the opportunity to get to know you!

And the best part BY FAR has been YOU, my creative, talented, inspiring customers!

So pop by this week, say hi and celebrate two great years with us! Our last day is Tuesday, Feb 19.

Oh, and save a bunch of money too…

THE ENTIRE STORE IS UP TO 90% OFF!
(Cash only please!)

It is unfortunate, after the efforts of the owner,
the store did not garner the customers needed to
    stay afloat.

However, I am not at all surprised!

The problem is this is a very selective store and
really did not have a whole lot in it for the consumer.

Secondly, exorbitant rent, I am sure aided in the closure.

Most important, the ADBA continually trys to hype up various
stores in the ADBA, but, the consumer has the final say by
going elsewhere if the price and product is not right!

The ADBA can spin it all they want, but, they need to really
need to analyze what type of business offers the product and
prices needed to bring back customers.

Two really great stores in the ADBA are the Old Towne Bakery
    and Karl’s Meats.
