“It’s official. I handed in my papers to run for council for another term and hope to earn your vote,” she said, adding, “I am honored to have an endorsement from the best mentor a councillor could have, former Mayor George F. Ferguson, which he’s asked me to post (Thank you, George):

“Patricia Ross is an example of what a politician should be with personal integrity beyond reproach. She’s always been selfless for the good of the people she likes to serve, quietly giving up much of her private life to gain knowledge and understanding regarding issues so important to all of us. she always met the challenges and fulfilled the multi tasks asked of her, without a single complaint and has been a great inspiration to others.” – George Ferguson

At the all-candidates meeting in Bradner Wednesday night Ross said that a strong economy was needed to provide a healthy environment for future generations. She spoke about the need for sustainability and detailed her long experience as a councillor in Abbotsford and with the Fraser Valley Regional District and reminded residents of her strong opposition to Vancouver’s attempts to reduce its waste footprint by converting garbage to energy.
