From Abbotsford Magnuson Ford Soccer Club. Abbotsford Magnuson Ford Soccer Club is delighted to announce details of its Men’s & Women’s Team program for the Pacific Coast Soccer League – 2014 Season.

Coming off the heels of a very successful season last year in the Men’s Reserve Division (League Champions & Challenge Cup finalists), the club is excited about the new challenges that lie ahead for this team, as they enter the Premier Division for the first time in the club’s history.  AMFSC Technical Director & Head Coach for the Men’s Premier Team, Ian Knight explained “The Premier Division will be a very different level of competition for the team and one which we are looking forward too. It will be a real test of quality and consistency for our boys but, we are motivated to do well on the back of last season’s accomplishments.”

The Women’s program will also see changes… Historically the club have fielded a Premier Women’s team in the PCSL but, with local University player’s taking a break this year, the club has entered a team in the Reserve Division (which becomes an ‘open age’ division, from the restrictive U21 division of the past). In addition, we are delighted to announce the appointment of an all-female coaching staff to the team…another first for the Club! Julie King will become the Head Coach of the Women’s PCSL program. Since arriving from the UK, two years ago, where she spent time at both Everton & Liverpool Ladies FC, Julie has worked predominantly with youth players at the Provincial, BCSPL & MSL level and recently was appointed as program coordinator for the AMFSC Sisters in Soccer initiative. Julie said of her appointment to the PCSL team, “I am really looking forward to working with the players in the Abby PCSL team and I am excited about working with adult females again”.
