From Abby Minor Ball. To all players wanting to try out for Abbotsford Spring AA Peewee Baseball – The AA Evaluations will be Saturday February 8 (Show barn at Ag Rec), 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM and Sunday February 16 (Cardinal Training Facility), 4:00 PM – 7:00PM.
The tryouts will consist of 2 sessions. You will have a time slot on each day. You will be evaluated on a different set of skills during each session.
You will need to make every effort to make your time as we have limited availability at the indoor facilities.
The players will be trying out to make 1 of 2 Peewee AA rep teams for the spring season. These players will then move into the summer season for the AAA and AA All Star Teams.
*Please note AA baseball is a more serious commitment than your previous years of baseball and can be a 5-7 days per week commitment- 2 or 3 practices a week and sometimes 3 games a week (or more on tournament weekends.) The expectation is for all players selected to continue on into summer ball which requires a more consistent commitment for the months of Mid June until Mid August for the AAA and Early August for the AA teams. Often there are baseball practices or games 5 to 6 days a week – If you are not prepared to make the commitment for Summer Ball please do not come to the AA evaluations, we would rather include you in our Single A program and allow others to make the commitment for summer ball at this time.
Players not wishing to play AA Rep or not selected will be placed on a Peewee Single A team which plays in the spring in our Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission and Aldergrove interlock and will also have a chance to try out for the Summer Single A All Star Team.
