Double Overtime Victory Mens Friday Night Showdown In Abby
The Abbotsford Pilots beat the Aldergrove Kodiaks in Aldergrove Wednesday night in double overtime by a score of 4 to 3.

From the PJHL. The Abbotsford Pilots got a double overtime goal from Mitch Plevy and defeated the Aldergrove Kodiaks by a score of 4-3. The Pilots still trail the series three games to two with game six slated for tomorrow night in Abbotsford. Brady Lawlor scored twice for the Pilots and Alex Methodist added a singl. The Kodiaks got a goal each from Eric Callegari, Cam Davitt and Brandon Dolby.

From the Kodiaks. The Kodiaks went to double overtime on Wednesday night before losing 4-3 to the visiting Abbotsford Pilots.

Facing elimination the Pilots came out flying in game five, outshooting the Kodiaks 17-9 in the first but were down 2-0 heading into the dressing room after one.

The Bears picked up their game in the second stanza outshooting the Pilots 11-8. After trading goals in the second, the Bears maintained their two-goal lead.

The Pilots jumped on the Kodiaks early in the third scoring just 49 seconds in to draw within one, then tied it up necessitating overtime.

The Pilots sealed the victory after scoring just 15 seconds into double OT to bring the series to 3-2 for Aldergrove.

The Pilots outshot the Kodiaks 46-35.

The Pilots won their first game of the series against the Kodiaks 4 – 3 but the team has lost the last three games 6 – 3, 4 – 2 and 3 – 2 in overtime.

Fans were treated to some hi-octane hockey at MSA Arena Saturday as they took it down to the wire.

… Pilots will be back at MSA Arena Friday night at 7:30, once again facing elimination in the best of seven series.


From PJHL – In Mission, Bakshi Gill scored his second goal of the game in overtime to give the Mission City Outlaws a 6-5 victory over the Langley Knights and launch the Outlaws into the Brittain Conference Final. The Outlaws dropped the first two games of the best-of-seven series before winning four straight. Bryce Pisiak also scored twice for the Outlaws and Brody Dyck added three assists. Mission City will now keep an eye on the series between Aldergrove and Abbotsford to find out who they will face next.
