Q & A – Tim Felger

In order to get beyond the election signs and the candidate profiles Abbotsford Today has put together a series of questions for candidates in the upcoming municipal election. We will be publishing answers provided by all those who participate.

TF I know city government is corrupt and any honest person with common sense could do a better job just by being open, fair and following through on what they say and do. I also know that it is every humans duty to protect every other human from your government and the second you stop protecting another human from your government, is the second you loose your humanity.

TF I decided to run so I could introduce the concept that government employees (read city employees) could be prosecuted under the criminal code of Canada for some of their past deeds including the spreading of chicken manure on the homeless camps.

TF Social Responsibility should mean taking care of every citizen and not wasting the tax payers money on your ego and friends. Social responsibility does not mean using the tools of government to attack your political opponents and people whop can not fight back.

TF I want to prosecute city and government employees for their past deeds of attacking the drug addicted and the homeless, lower the bus fare to a dollar from $2.25, cut the police budget by 10,000,000 yearly, require all patrol officers to wear body cameras, put 200 pay phones in the city, stop payments or government welfare to the ADBA (Abbotsford Downtown Business Association) and the churches,
Cut the city advertising budget so we cut out special interest and bias reporting, cut and cap the pay of management to $100,000 for city employees, tax marijuana at 3% and make the tax payable to the city and not the provincial and federal governments, put community gardens in our school system, build public bathrooms and include everybody in the decision making process. Freedom of Expression is not just the right to speak what is on my mind, but includes the right of the voter to receiving all the information to make an informed decision.

TF The city should sell the place or house the homeless in their for all I care. The city should not be in the hockey orentertainment business and the whole thing was special interest and fraud, I would sue the people who put it through for an Odious Debt, and seek criminal charges against the people who are responsible for the problems.

TF We should open or build 5 homeless camps the day after the election and seek criminal charges against those (city employees) who violated the rights and freedoms or better yet attacked the homeless. We should let the homeless sleep in an abandoned school until we can house them. Everybody has a right to clean dry shelter, non GMO food and clean water.

TF Pay out the law suits and give them some respect. Then get their stories documented so we can prosecute past city employees for their dirty deeds and criminal actions.

TF I would do nothing about unemployment, people do not need jobs, they need shelter, water and food. we have to redesign our economy to focus on the fact that we all own the planet and are all entitled to a share of profit from that fact alone and there are limits to growth, Growth is pollution and we need to focus on providing the basics of food, shelter and water to people through community gardens and not through economic growth.

TF I would solve the problems of trucks by creating truck parking lots and asking the truckers what solutions would help them live and work in Abbotsford.

TF We had an SPCA and we have bylaws already on the books, responsible pet owners who spray and neuter and no puppy mills, no snake breeders or other exotic animals allowed.

TF Most voters have trouble understanding that we have common bonds, Freedom, lower taxes and a gang free society. The sensible solutions to the urban drug problems and homelessness include harm reduction models, drug regulations and including all parties in the decisions. Abbotsford city council has a problem understand what their job is and this election should not be about throwing the bums out of office but prosecuting them for their dirty deeds.

I think it most important to remember, given the last 15 years of city council behavior or war crimes and crimes against humanity, the last 15 years of police oppression, and the freedom of expression violations, the next election of 2016 will be about prosecuting city council members and city employees in management for their past deeds and corruption.
