The Christmas Artisan Gift Fair is an eight week initiative of the Abbotsford Arts Council to provide the City of Abbotsford a unique place to buy one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers, while, at the same time, impart support and recognition for local artisans. The Fair will also consist of a “Small Painting Show,” featuring small paintings, prints and photo art by members of the Fraser Valley Watercolour Society, Central Fraser Valley Graphic Guild, and other local artists.
Submissions for original, handmade, 3-dimensional visual artwork will be accepted until 4:30pm on August 18, 2013. Artisans living in B.C.’s Fraser Valley are invited to apply. Applications are available for download at abbotsfordartscouncil.org, or the Kariton Art Gallery, located at 2387 Ware Street in Abbotsford. The gallery’s hours are Tuesday to Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
