On March 4rd, 2013 at approximately 8:37 PM a 2003 GMC envoy was travelling East on Highway 1 approaching the Fraser Highway Exit when the 38 year old Male driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck the centre median and rolled several times. The driver and all three occupants of the vehicle were taken to local hospital with severe injuries but none are considered life threatening.
The highway was closed for several hours while the Integrated Collision Reconstruction Section and the Fraser Valley Traffic Services investigated the collision. At this time speed is believed to be a major contributing factor for the collision. Any witnesses to this collision are asked to contact the Fraser Valley Traffic Services.
