Soldout TobyMac Sets AESC Attendance Record

Global Spectrum Facility Management, operators of the Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre, announced today that Grammy-Award winning artist tobyMac broke a single night attendance record when his sold-out ‘Hits Deep Tour’ took the stage on Friday, February 21. Global Spectrum confirmed an attendance of 7,098 for the ‘Hits Deep Tour’ which featured performances by Brandon Heath, Mandisa, Matthew West, Matt Maher, Capital Kings and tobyMac. The previous record at the Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre was held by country music artist, Eric Church, for his show in January 2013 when 6,826 people were in attendance.

“What a great night for Abbotsford and the AESC,” said Mayor Bruce Banman. “The energy in the building was undeniable and it was undoubtedly a night to remember for everyone who was there.”

“With 2014 being the fifth anniversary of the Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre, we couldn’t have asked for a better way to start off the year,” said Global Spectrum’s Jason Blumenfeld, General Manager of the Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre. “tobyMac delivered a fantastic performance and thrilled the audience all night!”

tobyMac’s ‘Hits Deep Tour’ now heads south for dates in Washington, Oregon and Arizona before finishing with a March 2 show in San Jose, California.
