From SD#13. The Abbotsford Board of Education is pleased to announce the opening of the district’s newest StrongStart, at Sweeney Neighbourhood Centre, adjacent to Abbotsford Senior. It is open Monday to Friday, 9am to noon (excluding school holidays). All parents/caregivers and their children (ages 0-‐5 years) are welcome to come and learn more about child development, literacy embedded play based learning activities and the best ideas to support your child’s learning.
First time registrants to this program please bring child’s birth certificate so your child can receive their Personal Education Number for the program
The board approved funding for this StrongStart Centre at its June 17th meeting, supporting the board’s strategic priority on early learning. Of the 13 StrongStart centres in the district, two are funded by the board and 11 by the province.
