(Abbotsford, Oct. 21, 2015) – Celebrating the past century of country music, Nashville Legendary songwriters and performers Tom Ghent, Chris Gantry, and Billy Gant bring their collective talents and southern country grass roots sound to the Abbotsford Centre on March 26, 2016. Joining the famous trio, will be the extraordinary local duo, Austin Belle from Abbotsford and Chris Andres and The Stompin Devilles from Vancouver Island.

Collectively they have written thousands of songs, while individually each has performed, collaborated and or been recorded by some of the biggest musical personalities of their time, including the likes of the Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Jr., Wayne Newton, Kris Kristofferson, Alabama, and George Jones.

Legends of Nashville, presented by No Limits Productions brings an intimate night of country music.  “These artists that began the outlaw music movement as it was referred to in Nashville, Tennessee are still some of the top writers in the country music industry today, stated Byron Andres, production manager for the event.

Artist Highlights:

Tom Ghent:  His songs have been recorded by Kris Kristofferson, Gene Watson, Bobby Bare, Rita Coolidge, Bobby Goldsboro, Mama Cass, Michael Settle and dozens of others. He has played lead guitar for Mickey Newbury, appeared as background vocalist on Joan Baez’ “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down” and Steve Goodman’s “City of New Orleans,” His performances have taken him from the coffeehouses of the Greenwich Village folk scene, to country honky tonks, to the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Big Sur Folk Festival, Monterey Pop Festival, Willie Nelson Picnic, and the Hollywood Bowl. Tom also sang the title song on the soundtrack album for the Mick Jagger movie “Ned Kelly”. A soundtrack which also featured Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings and Jagger himself.

Chris Gantry:  Gantry has written more than 1,000 songs some of them as collaborations with Nashville’s best Kris Kristofferson, Mel Tillis, Shel Silverstein, and Eddie Rabbit. Over 100 of his songs were recorded by various artists including: Roy Clark, Johnny Cash, Sonny Curtis, Robert Goulet, Wayne Newton, Johnny Lee, Reba McEntire, Billy Walker, Garry Pucket, KD Lang, Yankee Grey, and Rhett Akins, including “Dreams of the Everyday Housewife”, sung by Glen Campbell. “Dreams of the Everyday Housewife” won three M.M.I. awards plus the Millionaires Award for over two million performances. It also won the Nashville Songwriter Award in 1968. Chris recorded five albums for Monument and ABC Dot Records and has written for Sony Music, Warner Chapel Music, and Faverett Music Group.

Billy Gant:  A prominent fixture in the country music scene for several decades, Gant continues to perform on stage at a variety of music festivals performing with Alabama, Johnny Paycheck, George Jones, Hank Williams JR, Barbara Mandrell, and Pam Tillis.
