In the late afternoon of Monday, June 24 a large gate was stolen from a property in the 41200 block of Old Yale Road. The gate had been installed approximately a month ago to prevent people from accessing the private property and areas beyond it with on and off road vehicles. Police and Fire Rescue have been called to the area numerous times in the past to investigate large parties and fires, although there have been reports of shots fired and the dumping of refuse as well.
An area resident observed a dark coloured pick-up truck with a white trailer in the vicinity around the time of the theft.
