By Arts Editor Doreen Jung. To share with someone something that you treasure, is to share with that someone a part of your heart. “Treasures” by the FVWS is a colourful and creative watercolour and mixed media exhibit that reflects the variety of exciting and unique work being produced by its members.

Discover scenes that hold a special place in the hearts of the artists. Moments in time, places visited, and cherished relationships are all part of the show. A glimpse into a fond memory, a peek at an inspiring event; these paintings capture something that has moved the artist to pick up a paintbrush and apply it to canvas.

There is a magic in these paintings emerging somehow through the alchemy of the artist’s brushwork, and thus allowing them to bring their treasures to you.

Hopes and Dreams by Heidi Stewart: “A caterpillar changing to butterfly, one of the many treasured gifts of nature.”
