A forest fire on Vedder mountain has been reported by the Vancouver Sun after Twitter reports and photos.
[excerpt] The B.C. Forestry Service is responding to a forest fire burning near the top of Vedder Mountain in Yarrow (12 kilometres southwest of Chilliwack).The Fraser Valley Regional District has classified it as a small forest fire, but it’s too far up the mountain and the local fire crews can’t access it.
Witnesses say smoke and flames are visible on the north face of the mountain.
