W.J. Mouat Secondary hosted its first ‘All Athletes Forum’ on Tuesday, February 4th, 2014. Over 220 student athletes and their coaches participated in this ground-breaking forum. The goal was to gather data and then have a smaller group of students develop a ‘Student Athlete Pledge’.
Students were asked to discuss the following questions: 1) What does it mean to wear a Mouat jersey/uniform? 2) What are ways to build a positive team culture? Students reported out their thoughts at the forum and also provided their ideas in writing for the student committee that has been tasked with developing the ‘Student Athlete Pledge’.
