Wrestling season has started at yale Secondary School. Practices are held on Tuesdays at 3:30 pm and Fridays at 4:00 pm in the small gym

Yale Swim Team Competes at Fraser Valley Championships! (Oct 29, 2013)
On Thursday, 33 members of Yale’s swim team competed at the Fraser Valley Championships. The day was full great races, with most swimmers earning personal best times, and many top 3 and first place finishes. 17 swimmers advanced to compete in the Provincial Championships, 8 in all of their events. Special mentions to go Jessie Gibson and Brady Utas for first place finishes in multiple events, Eric Martel, for finishing 4th out of 127 athletes in 50 meter free, Sydney Stoltz for finishing 5th out of 115 athletes in 50 meter breaststroke, and Darren Hewko for two of the gutsiest swims we’ve ever seen. Way to go, Yale!!!

Lady lions ate hawk yesterday!! Congratulations to the Grade 10 girls volleyball team for winning all 3 matches yesterday against Mission, St.John Brebeuf and most importantly the Mouat Hawks. Power serving by Vera and incredible team play led to convincing wins in all 3 games. Junior and senior teams play in a tournament at GW Graham in Chilliwack this weekend. Go Lions!!
The cross country team competed at the Fraser Valleys at Clearbrook park yesterday and made their school proud. Gabriel Esquivel placed 23rd out of over 140 junior boys. Good job Gabriel!
